TAG International was established in 1998 as a transition of ownership from The Austin Group Architects, which began operations as an outgrowth of a predecessor firm dating back to the early 1970's. As an ongoing enterprise for more than four decades, the firm today continues to consistently contribute to the enhancement of the built environment by helping countless clients achieve strategic results throughout the land development process. The firm is currently led by two partners Ron Pope and David Carson.

TAG International has been and continues to be involved in a diverse array of projects throughout the United States, Latin America, and recently China. At TAG, we seek to achieve maximum Building Potential© for each project within the constraints of budget, functionality, and codes, while creating places with lasting value that contribute to the communities in which they are built.

TAG offers a full range of architecture and design services, from site master planning to interiors, as well as broader capabilities including project management, process improvement, and facilities support. We look to understand the "big picture" of how real estate assets fit into our clients' overall organizational and economic strategies, while recognizing our role as designers and project managers in helping to create successful outcomes. We choose not to specialize in any particular project type, instead preferring to utilize our extensive experience to engage on various interesting, challenging problems, whether that entails a difficult site, unusual program requirements, tight budgets, and/or critical time frames for completion. We see each project as an opportunity to overcome constraints and to develop unique solutions for our clients' needs and desires.

TAG's approach to projects is a blend of conceptual thinking, pragmatic planning, technical expertise, and attention to detail. A thorough evaluation of site and program, with diligent attention to the clients' goals and also the broader concerns of sustainable development, as well as rigorous execution of the project documents, leads to innovative, functional buildings that hold up over long term life cycles. We view the design and development process as a collaborative endeavor and we enjoy forming new relationships as well as working closely with many repeat clients, trusted engineering colleagues, and quality contractors.
